NEW DELHI: Separatist leader and Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Yasin Malik was today detained at the Indira Gandhi International Airport while he was on his way to Nepal.
The JKLF chief was reportedly going to Nepal to meet his 19-month-old daughter Razia Sultana and wife Mushal Malik.
His passport had expired earlier this year and was thus denied an immigration check, official sources said.
His wife and daughter have not been given a visa for India after Mumbai terror attack mastermind and banned Jamat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed was seen at a sit-in, organised by Malik in Pakistan in protest against the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.
Malik is back in Srinagar.
