QAZIGUND: Three Sarpanchs have been arrested for ransacking government offices in south Kashmir’s Qazigund area.
Bilal Ahmed Deva, Javid Ahmed Shiekh and Muhammad Setha are the Sarpanchs of Panzat, Saransoo, Yurikhushipora villages respectively.
They allegedly ransacked the offices of the Assistant Commissioner for Development, Islamabad, Abdul Hamid Wani and the Block Development Officer, Qazigund.
Mr Wani said the trio would in the past frequently raise hue and cry over petty matters and even threatened officials of dire consequences.
A police official said a case has been registered against the accused.
