SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir cabinet has ordered promotion and placement of Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers in the state.
The state cabinet, which met here under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah ordered placements and promotions of IFS officers in the Forest department, an official statement issued last night said.
He said Vinod Ranjan, the then Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF), has been promoted to the apex scale, Abhai Kumar (APCCF) has been promoted to the level of above super time scale-II (PCCF).
The Cabinet also ordered promotion of Manoj Pant, IFS on proforma basis and Pramod Kumar Singh, IFS on ex-cadre basis to the rank of CCF to the level of above super time scale-1 (APCCF).
Promotions of Mr Om Parkash, Mr Roshan Jaggi, Jigmet Tapka, S K Gupta, Dr T S Ashok Kumar, Mr Ashif Mehmood Sagar, Mr N A Darzi and Mr M A Tak to the level of super time scale-II (Chief Conservator of Forests) on ex-cadre basis were also ordered.
Cabinet also ordered promotion of Mr Mohit Gera, Smt Neelu Gera, Mr B K Singh and Mr Sarvesh Rai to the level of super time scale-II (Chief Conservator of Forests) on proforma basis. Promotion of S Senthil Kumar, Mr A R Hazari, Mr M P Dogra, Mr M M Hussain, Mr Mian Javaid and Mr Sameer Bharti to the level of super time scale-I (Conservator of Forest) on ex-cadre basis.
