SRINAGAR: The earth just swallowed Masarat Jan.
A group of women were digging earth at Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district when a portion of the ground caved in.
Jan was killed while two other women were injured, officials told the United News of India.
A rescue operation was immediately launched, they said.
The injured, Parveen and Muneeb have been admitted to a hospital.
