SRINAGAR: Twenty three animals have been killed due to heavy rainfall in Kashmir valley, police say.
According to a police statement twenty-two goats and a horse died at Qazigund on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway last night.
Heavy rains lashed the valley since Sunday morning and continued Monday in many parts of the valley.
In northern district of Baramulla, authorities ordered closure of schools for a day.
Officials say the weather is likely to remain better from today.
