SRINAGAR, May 18: Three persons died and six others were injured Friday in different road accidents across Kashmir.
Sartaj Ahmad Mir, Bilkees Akhter and and Gull Mohammad Bhat of Poonew in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district were on board a Maruti car when it hit a Chinar tree at Avantipora, nearly 30 kms from capital Srinagar.
All the three died on the spot while two others travelling in the car were critically injured. They have been shifted to Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Srinagar for medical help.
Meanwhile a motorcycle collision happened at baliyar marhama in Anantnag district of south kashmir injuring both the bikers and a pillion rider.
One person was also injured in a separate collision between a taxi and a passenger bus at Avantipora.
“All the injured were shifted to hospitals and we have filed cases in all the incidents,” a police spokesman said.
