SRINAGAR: A teenage girl ended her life by consuming poison at her home in south Kashmir, police say.
The 16-year-old girl, whose name has been withheld, was shifted from her home in Mudhama village to a hospital in Srinagar where she died.
This happened on Saturday.
What forced the teenager to end her life is not known. Police say they have begun investigations.
“Her parents are in mourning. We will talk to them and try to find out what led her to take such a drastic step,” a police officer said.
