JAMMU: An undergraduate student attacked a teacher in rage after she stopped him from cheating while he was taking an exam.
Tawanpreet Singh attacked the woman professor supervising the exam and also tore his answer paper besides that of a few fellow students on Wednesday.
It is not clear if the attack was grievous, but Singh, a first year student of SPMR College of Commerce in the state’s winter capital Jammu, has been arrested.
“A complaint was lodged against him and he was arrested after simultaneous raids in the city area,” police told the United News of India.
They said the student was also involved in stabbing a twelfth class student last year.
