SRINAGAR: President of the Doctors Association of Kashmir, Dr Nisarul Hassan on Saturday criticised the participation of local doctors in a cultural event in New Delhi.
“It is distressing and disgraceful to send female medical students to participate in an ‘indecent and immoral cultural programme’ at Delhi,” he said in a statement to a local news agency, CNS.
“Few days back an indecent cultural show of singing and dancing was also organized at Government Medical College Srinagar.”
Hassan said such shows were being conducted at a time “when Kashmir is burning and Kashmiris are being killed, massacred and raped”.
“The sufferings and miseries of Kashmiris are cherished by musical concerts which is painful.”
