SRINAGAR: An amount of Rs 65.29 crore has been earmarked for current fiscal plan for Shopian district in South Kashmir.
Official said this included Rs 2.16 crore for Rural Development works, Rs 17.51 crore for Irrigation and Flood Control sector, Rs 11.57 crore for Roads and Buildings (R&B), Rs 1.95 crore for Public Health Engineering (PHE) sector, Rs 2.07 crore for Health, Rs 4.90 crore for Education sector and Rs 1.39 crore for Self Employment sector.
They said two bridges with financial implication of Rs 3.62 crore, five road schemes involving Rs 17.11 crore have been completed while seven water supply schemes at a cost of Rs 23.74 crore are near completion besides 35 school buildings with financial implication Rs 12.78 crore are under execution during the current financial year.
