SRINAGAR: A Special Police Officer (SPO) working in Railway police was found dead under mysterious circumstances near a track in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, official sources said here today.
They said 26-year-old Shabir Ahmad Ganie, working as SPO in the Railway police was found dead near Railway track at Shamshipora, Kulgam on Anantnag-Banihal route.
The cause of his death was not known, they said, adding police have registered a case and initiated proceedings.
