SRINAGAR: Security forces have cordoned off a busy hospital building in south Kashmir’s Kulgam area, witnesses say.
Our correspondent there says personnel of the counter-insurgency task force of the police evacuated patients and doctors from district hospital in Kulgam early this afternoon.
They are looking for a militant who they believe is inside the hospital premises.
The police refused to comment when asked whether they believe that the militant is armed.
Unconfirmed reports say the paramilitary CRPF has joined the operation and that a grenade has been recovered from the site.
