SRINAGAR: Oil marketing companies on Friday decided to slash petrol prices by Rs 2 per litre, effective from midnight.
In Kashmir petrol at present costs Rs 76.10 per litre.
On March 1, petrol prices were hiked by Rs 1.40/lt.
Fuel prices were last revised on Feb 16 when the rate of petrol was increased by Rs 1.5 per litre and diesel by 45 paise per litre.
