SRINAGAR: About 400 primary and middle school buildings have been constructed under Sawa Shiksha Abhiyan(SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyawaile Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, officials today said here.
They said 314 primary schools were constructed out of the set target of 403 under SSA. Under RMSA as many as 5 schools have been completed taken over while 17 were nearing completion.
Out of 82 middle schools, 69 buildings stand completed under SSA.
It was given out that out of 930 additional class rooms, 523 have been completed so far.
They said it had been decided that leveling of land in undulated areas would be taken up by dovetailing to facilitate construction of schools.
