Now a Bollywood film on Kashmir’s ‘Identity Card’

SRINAGAR, June 22: A bollywood crew is coming to Kashmir to shoot a film; not on anything else but the ‘identity card’.

Known for her acting in movies like ‘Haunted 3’ and ‘Lanka’ the female actor, Tia Bajpai, will be shooting in the scenic valley ringed by the lofty snow-capped Himalayas along with other crew members.

The film will revolve around and is also titled “Identity Card”.

“Our film revolves around the sensitive issue of the identity of Kashmiris in the valley. So far, films made on Kashmir have tackled the issue of terrorism but in our film, the very topic has taken a back seat. It primarily deals with what is the situation of a common man in Kashmir and of course, his thoughts,” a newspaper quoted Tia as saying.

“The film is about how Kashmiris are always in constant fear and have to carry their identity cards to avoid hassles if caught in a bad situation which is so unlike in any other city of our country,” says the actor all geared up for a long stay in Kashmir.

The Rahat Kazmi directed movie will have Saurabh Shukla, Raghuvir Yadav and Vipin Sharma as other lead actors.
