Night Curfew Continues
SRINAGAR: Curfew was relaxed in all districts of the Jammu province except Kishtwar where it continued for the sixth day on Wednesday, the authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have said.
Clashes between Hindus and Muslims in Kishtwar area left three people dead and scores wounded besides large scale incidents of arson on Friday. Both communities suffered.
The Divisional commissioner of Jammu, Shantmanu said curfew was relaxed in all the districts except Kishtwar at different timings and “there are no reports of any untoward incidents during the whole day.”
A journalist in Jammu told FreePress that the relaxation in Jammu city lasted from 4 pm till 8 pm.
“Night curfew continues,” he said.
