SRINAGAR: A 30-year-old man has been arrested for raping a teenage girl in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, police said.
The girl, 16, complained to the local police that the accused raped her in his Maruti Van on Didikoot road.
A police statement said that the girl was immediately taken for a medical test which confirmed rape.
It said that the police swung into action and arrested the accused within hours of lodging of the case.
