SRINAGAR: Curfew continued for the ninth day Saturday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar town, but brief relaxations were given in a phased manner in the town.
On Friday union Home Secretary Anil Goswami arrived here to review the law and order situation.
Local residents say that curfew was relaxed from 1300 hrs til 1430 hrs in Jamia Masjid area while the deal for Asraria and kuleed areas started at 1600 hrs for one and a half hours.
Curfew was imposed following large-scale communal violence on August 09, in which three people were killed. Private and public properties worth millions of rupees were destroyed by rioting mobs.

Authorities have decided that educational institutions in Jammu and other districts would re-open Monday.
