SRINAGAR: Senior separatist leader and chairman of Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Shah Geelani has called for shutdown in entire Jammu and Kashmir for the second day on Sunday over the Kishtwar incident.
Two people, Arvind Kumar and Bashir Ahmed, have been killed while as dozens other were injured besides large scale arson during the clashes.
A spokesman of the party alleged that the Muslim community in the area were being harassed.
“Keeping in view the present position…Syed Ali Geelani Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called for statewide complete shutdown tomorrow on 11 August 2013 Sunday also.”

The situation in Kishtwar has polarised Hindus and Muslims in the two provinces of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Hindu nationalist Bharitya Janta Party and others have extended the Jammu bandh call by a day.
Kashmir valley is a Muslim-majority region while the Jammu province is Hindu-majority.
Remote Kishtwar area, in Jammu, where the clashes took place, has an almost equal Hindu-Muslim population.
