SRINAGAR: A man from Kashmir is among 11 Haj pilgrims from India who have died in the holy cities of Makkah and Madina.
According to reports reaching here a 88-year-old Abdul Gaffar Magray died at Madina sharief, due to unclear reasons.
Also it is still not clear which place here did he belong to.
The highest number of deaths have been from the Hajis of Uttar Pradesh – 4 – followed by two from Uttarakhand and one each from West Bengal, Karnataka, Haryana and Jharkhand.
Meanwhile, 8,525 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir reached holy Madhina till yesterday (Sunday).
