SRINAGAR, Nov 30: Schools in Kashmir will break for a long winter break on December 3 and 17, authorities have said.
Classes upto eighth standard will be off for winter vacations on December 3, Monday, while as higher classes will continue class work till December 15, an official spokesperson said.
The vacations are scheduled to end on February 28.
Winter in Kashmir lasts till early March, often marked by snowfall and rains and the vacations often get extended due to cold weather.
