SRINAGAR: About 500 farmers from north Kashmir district of Bandipora will shortly visit north India, particularly agriculture universities under the National Technology Mission (NTM).
Chief Agriculture Officer, Bandipora, told the United News of India that the department of Agriculture is going to depute 500 farmers for exposure tour shortly under Technology Mission and RKVY respectively.
He said 10 Kashmiri farmers have already left under Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) for seven days exposure tour to Indo-Israel Vegetable Project, Gharaunda Haryana and the Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana where they shall be imparted training on different fields of agriculture.
The Chief Agriculture officer said that a district level exhibition-cum-vegetable show shall also be organised under ATMA in the district shortly.
