SRINAGAR, July 14: A teenager was killed in an accidental firing by his nine-year-old brother who was fiddling with his father’s gun in Kashmir’s Poonch district, police said Saturday.
The incident took place on Friday evening in a remote hamlet of Jabbi Totil Dhoke area of Poonch.
“The boy was fiddling with his father’s gun at their residence when it went off accidentally and the bullet hit his elder brother,” a police official said.
The teenager was rushed to a hospital in Poonch where he was declared brought dead, they said.
Police has seized the gun and registered a case.
