Replacement of CRPF in Gagran Camp begins
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police Friday claimed to have cracked the June 24 Hyderpora militant attack case in which eight Army soldiers were killed.
Addressing a press conference at Police Control Room here, Inspector General of Police, Abdul Gani Mir said “Police has arrested two persons – Naveed-ul-Islam, resident of Mochua, Chadoora and Bilal Ahmad lone, resident of Khan Colony, Chanapora, Srinagar.”
He said the duo were part of criminal conspiracy and provided logistic support to the attackers and accompanied the militants to the spot of attack.
“The attack was carried out by Irshad Ahmad Ganie@ Abu Abdullah resident of Larkipora, Padgampora, Awantipora and a Pakistani terrorist Hamza @ Zeeshan. Both the militants owe affiliation to LeT and this attack was masterminded by Divisional commander of LeT for South Kashmir, Qasim a Pakistani militant on the direction of POK based LeT commander@ Hanzallah Adnan and@ Ahmad Bhai.”
Mir further added that the investigation revealed that there are some other people who have provided logistic support to the attackers who have been also identified.
Meanwhile commenting on shifting of Gagran Shopian camp Mir told reporters that the camp will start shifting from tomorrow.
