JK-XV to play Manipur in finals of sub-junior national cricket tourney

GANDERBAL, Sept 23: Jammu and Kashmir XV is all set to take on Manipur in the final match of the ongoig sub-junir naional cricket championship scheduled to be played on Monday at Madr-i-Meharban stadium in Ganderbal.

Today quarter and semi-finals were played at different venues in the district.

In the first quarter final played at Shaheed Showkat Stadium Gadoora, Jammu and Kashmir XV outplayed Vidharba, while as in the second quarter final, Himachal Pradesh defeated Uttar Pradesh.

In the matches played at Madr-i-Meharban Stadium Ganderbal, NCR Delhi lost to Awadh and Manipur defeated Maharashtra.

In Semi finals, Jammu and Kashmir XV continued their glory and outplayed Himachal Pradesh in the first match and Manipur played superbly to record an easy all wicket win against Awadh (UP).

In the girls group, Kashmir played to the best of their standard and stood first in the group, while as Rajasthan and Jammu team made a tough fight to make their place at 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
