JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has suspended the Sub-Judge Surankote and First Additional Munsiff, Srinagar on complaints received against them.
“The J&K High Court yesterday placed under suspension Vishaish Kumar Parihar, Sub-Judge, Surankote and Javed Ahmad Naik, First Additional Munsiff, Srinagar after receiving complaints against them,” official sources here said.
An order was issued by the Registrar General after a complaint was made by Parveen Akhter and Mohd Ikhlaq Khan, both residents of Surankote levelling allegations against the Sub Judge regarding his conduct, integrity, honestly and reputation, the sources added.
Allegations of corrupt practices and causing great loss to the state exchequer by evading stamp duty have been made against the then Sub-Registrar Pulwama, presently First Additional Munsiff Srinagar, the sources added.
According to the Registrar General, a Full Court meeting was held yesterday under the chairmanship of Chief Justice MM Kumar and after going through the inquiry report submitted by the Registrar Vigilance V C Koul, both of them were suspended and it was also ordered that Sub-Judge Vishaish Kumar Parihar, Surankote will remain attached with Registrar Judicial High Court, Jammu Wing and Javed Ahmad Naik, First Additional Munsiff Srinagar will remain attached with Registrar Judicial High Court, Srinagar Wing.
