NEW DELHI: Senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley, today slammed the Jammu and Kashmir government for trying to “hide the truth” from coming out in Kishtwar by not allowing him to go to the place.
Mr Jaitley who wanted to go to Kishtwar which was rocked by sectarian violence yesterday, was detained at Jammu airport and not allowed to visit the trouble-torn area.
The Jammu and Kashmir government did not want that “truth should come out,” Mr Jaitley said after his arrival here from Jammu.
He said a BJP delegation wanted to visit affected areas but restrictive orrders were issued and they stopped from visiting Kishtwar. Kishtwar has been witnessing violence for the past three days which has had a snowball effect in several areas of Jammu region which have been placed under curfew.
