JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has recommended that Gojjri language be included in the eighth schedule of the Constitution, thereby giving it the status of an official language.
Efforts are afoot for setting up of Gojjri departments in Kashmir and Jammu Universities, Minister for Forest and Environment, Mian Altaf said during a function at Lambari in Rajouri district on Friday.
Gojjri language is not only spoken in J-K, but is also used for communication in several parts of the sub-continent, he said.
