Only ten days ago a 35-year-old man in north Kashmir was arrested after his wife’s minor sister, whom he had allegedly raped last year, gave birth to a boy.
Officials told the United News of India that the minor girl was alone at her home in Potha village in Jammu region when her neighbour allegedly raped her.
The girl narrated the incident to her mother only on Tuesday night, they said, after which her family lodged a formal complaint with the police.
On January 18, south Kashmir woke up to a shocking news of rape of a 13-year-old girl allegedly by a fake Pir (faith healer). The incident came to fore after a routine medical check-up of the girl revealed that she was 8-months pregnant.
Meanwhile police has launched a manhunt to nab the accused who has absconded.
