JAMMU: Th army on Monday said it has foiled an infiltration bid at the Line of Control that divides Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
One person has been killed in the incident which took place in Rajouri district, they said.
A defence spokesman told the Press Trust of India that the army detected some suspicious movement in the Pokhra area on SUnday.
They fired at the intruder who jumped into a drain to flee but was killed.
The army has identified the slain person as Mohammed Maqsood, in his mid thirties, a resident of Bhimber district of Pakistan-administered-Kashmir.
They say Pakistani currency and paper slips containing a few telephone numbers were found on the slain person.
