SRINAGAR: Frontline militant group Hizbul Mujahideen has claimed responsibility for an attack that killed five CRPF personnel this morning, a local news agency KNS said.
Two members of Hizb were also killed in the suicide attack.
“Hizb spokesman Baleeguddin Din told KNS over phone that two guerillas of the militant outfit attacked CRPF camp,” the news agency said in its bulletin.
The spokesman, however, did not name the Hizb militants who carried out the attack, nor did he say which place they belonged to.
Hizbul Mujahideen is Kashmir’s front line militant group fighting for Kashmir’s merger with Pakistan.
“Hizb militants will carry more such attack,” KNS quoted the Hizb Spokesman as saying.
