SRINAGAR: The pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir will start return journey after performing the Hajj from October 21.
More than 8,000 pilgrims from the state performed the Hajj this year.
An official spokesperson said here today that the first special flight carrying the Hajj pilgrims will land at Srinagar International Airport on October 21.
The process of arrival of the Hajj pilgrims would be continuing till November 06, 2013. Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Shalinder Kumar convened a high-level meeting of Divisional Officers for ensuring foolproof arrangements to facilitate their journey.
Mr Kumar has directed the officers that every kind of facility including providing of accommodation, boarding and lodging, uninterrupted electricity, safe drinking water, sanitation in and around the Hajj House and better transport from Airport to Hajj House should be provided to all pilgrims at the Airport particularly belonging to Jammu and Ladakh regions.
