‘No difference between CRPF and JK Police’: Khan
SRINAGAR: Senior Congress leader and former Minister Ghulam Hasan Khan Friday said that replacement of CRPF from Gagren village in south Kashmir, where five people have been shot dead since last Saturday, is an “eyewash”.
He said the replacement “will not serve the purpose.”
The government on Thursday ordered that the CRPF personnel in the camp be replaced by Jammu and Kashmir Armed Policemen.
However Khan told a local news agency, CNS, “The camp was not shifted…only uniform was changed.”.
“There is no difference between CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police,” he said.
Khan said female students of a Degree College, adjacent to the “fortified” camp, will continue to feel insecure.
He urged the Government to shift the Camp without any replacement.
