SRINAGAR: Police on Tuesday arrested two people for allegedly raping a minor girl in Mandakpal hamlet of Pampore town, 13 kms south of Kashmir capital Srinagar.
A local news agency, CNS reports that Aadil Wani, son of Showket Wani, and Shahid Manzoor Wani, son of Manzoor Ahmed, both residents of Mandakpal, forcibly dragged a minor girl into an isolated place and raped her.
Parents of the girl lodged a complaint with the police after which they arrested the accused.
Police say medical examination of the girl has confirmed rape, the CNS reports.
