SRINAGAR: A truck driver was killed and five others were injured in different road accidents in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said here today.
They said a driver Mohammad Yousuf Mir was killed when a truck he was driving fell into a deep gorge near Captain Mode at Zojila on Srinagar-Leh road. Two people were injured when two vehicles collided at Akoora crossing in Anantnag district.
The injured were hospitalised.
Two more vehicles collided at Tarigam in Kulgam district of south Kashmir, resulting in injuries to two people.
The injured were admitted to hospital, sources said. A vehicle hit and injured a 22-year-old Bilal Ahmad Mir at Bumhama in Kupwara. The injured was rushed to local hospital from where he was referred to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in a critical condition.
