SRINAGAR: A machine driver from Himachal Pradesh (HP) state was killed and three others were injured in separate accidents in the Kashmir valley, officials said on Saturday.
Vijay Kumar, son of Mahinder Singh, died while operating a JCB Machine in a stone quarry at Shalawani, Awantipora in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
The cause of his death was not immediately known. Police have registered a case.
Meanwhile two people, Ishfaq Ahmad Shergojri and Mohammad Ashraf Shergojri, were injured when a motorcycle skidded and fell on the road. The two were riding on the pillion while the rider escaped unhurt.
In a separate incident, a vehicle hit and injured a 6-year-old girl Sami at Chowgam in Kulgam district. She has been hospitalised.
