Don’t Forget The Needy on Eid, Separatist Leaders Urge Kashmiris

“Extend wholehearted help to the poor, widows, orphans, destitute and needy”

SRINAGAR: Various political and religious leaders have felicitated the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Senior separatist leader and Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani appealed to the people not to forget the families of martyrs, disappeared persons and those languishing in jails while celebrating the Eid-ul-Fitr.

“People should extend wholehearted help to the poor, widows, orphans, destitute and needy to enable them to share the moments of joy of this auspicious occasion,” he said.

Extending Eid greetings to Ummah in general and the Muslims of Jammu Kashmir in particular, the Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said the Muslims who succeeded to win the pleasure of Allah during the holy month of Ramadhan alone deserve to enjoy the joyful moments of Eid.

He wished this auspicious day to bring freedom, and happiness to the people of Kashmir and other oppressed Muslims in the world.

Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Muhammad yasin Malik while felicitating the people urged them to observe austerity and simplicity while celebrating the Eid.

He hoped that the well-off people of Kashmir should extend wholehearted financial help to the poor, and affected families to enable them share the joyful moments of this auspicious occasion.
