Digvijay Accuses BJP of Inciting Communal Violence in Kishtwar

NEW DELHI: Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh today accused the BJP of inciting communal violence in Bihar, Kishtwar and Tonk.

“Six Communal incidents in two months in Bihar, communal violence in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir and in Tonk, Rajasthan. I had warned that BJP will target non-BJP States,” the senior Congress leader wrote on Twitter.
The Congress general secretary also criticised the BJP’s poll campaign panel chief Narendra Modi for writing a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh demanding a meeting of Chief Ministers to discuss the Food Security Bill.

“Modi does not trust BJP Parliamentary Party to raise right issues on Food Security Bill and instead writes directly to Prime Minister.

No confidence against Sushma Swaraj?,” Mr Singh wrote, adding that the BJP and its icon (Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi) wants to deprive poor of food security which shows its true colour of being anti-poor.

Mr Modi, in a letter dated August 7 to the Prime Minister had proposed a meeting of Chief Ministers on the Food Security Bill, saying it is an issue that concerns both the Centre and state government.
