SRINAGAR: The government has approved a raise in the Dearness Allowance (DA) of employees in Jammu and Kashmir by 8 percent.
An official spokesman said the cabinet which met here today sanctioned enhancement of an installment of Dearness Allowance (DA) for State Government Employees, State Pensioners, Family Pensioners from 72% to 80 % from 1st January 2013.
“The DA arrears w.e.f January 2013 to April 2013 shall be paid in cash to the State Government Employees in the month of May 2013,” he said.
