SRINAGAR: Curfew has been relaxed in many areas of the valley following relative calm on Wednesday.
According to police officials, curfew was relaxed in entire Budgam district from 10 am, reports say.
In Pulwama district, Kakapora, Lassipora and Rajpora area were given a deal from 9 am onwards and in Awantipora curfew was relaxed from 10 in the morning.
In Srinagar, R M Bagh, Kotibagh, Saddar, Rajbagh, Lalbazar, Nigeen, Zakoora, Panthachowk, Parimpora, Bemina and Nowgam police station areas saw curfew being relaxed since 9 in the morning.
However downtown Srinagar continues to remain under the curfew.
In north Kashmir’s Kupwara district the relaxation was given in Kupwara town, Kralpora, Sogam and Lalpora police station areas.
But the restive Baramulla district has been given no relaxation so far.
