SRINAGAR: The question paper of the biology examination in the on-going Common Entrance Test (CET) scheduled for Sunday has been leaked, sending thousands of candidates in Kashmir into tizzy.
Sources have told FreePress that while distributing the question paper of Chemistry at one of the prominent exam centres in Srinagar today, the invigilating staff also distributed the biology paper which is scheduled for tomorrow.
Whether this happened inadvertently or was done on purpose is not immediately clear.
The six question papers were soon retracted from the students.
Officials of the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations in Jammu and Kashmir (BOPEE) have cancelled the Chemistry exam and ordered the Biology exam to be postponed.
“But the Mathematics exam will be held tomorrow as per schedule,” BOPEE chairman, RD Sharma said.
Fresh dates for the two papers shall be announced separately, he said.
A notice issued by the BOPEE has asked candidates to preserve their admit cards for the said entrance examinations.
