HYDERABAD: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Senior Leader M.Venkaiah Naidu today said the Prime Minister’s proposed meeting with his Pakistani counterpart at New York was totally against the mood of the nation, particularly in the backdrop of Mumbai bomb blasts accused still taking shelter in the neighbouring country.
Talking to reporters, Mr.Naidu, while strongly condemning today’s Jammu attacks, said “there should be no talks with Pakistan unless a conducive environment was created as terror and talks can’t go together.”
Necessary action should be initiated against Pakistan Army, which had crossed LoC several times, he said and strongly condemned the attack on the police and security forces in Jammu.
Mr.Naidu alleged Dr Singh was in a hurry to start a dialogue with Pakistan during his proposed visit to the US.
‘The UPA Government seems to be totally insensitive to the public opinion in the country and is going ahead with the so-called talks with the Pakistan under some pressure,’ he charged.
Indo-Pak relations can never be normal till Pakistan delivers on its promise not to let terrorists groups operate from its oil and stop aiding and abating terrorism in India, he said adding it must also hand over the master minds of Mumbai Bomb Blasts.
