SRINAGAR: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary and incharge Jammu and Kashmir affairs, Ambika Soni along with Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad are set to review the party’s performance in a high level meeting on Saturday.
The duo reached Jammu on Friday.
All Congress ministers, legislators, MLAs and MLCs are scheduled to attend a meeting tomorrow.
A senior Congress minister, who wished not to be named, told a local news agency, KNS, that 180 delegates including former Sadr-e-Riyasat of Jammu and Kashmir Dr Karan Singh and former president of State Congress Ghulam Rasool Kar will attend the meeting.
“The main agenda of the meeting is to review overall performance of Congressmen in Jammu and Kashmir and the future strategy,” he said.
Meanwhile, if sources within the party are to be believed, a number of Congress ministers and legislators will raise demand for apology from National Conference Additional General Secretary Dr Mustafa Kamal for his remarks against Congress and its leadership.
The Congress rules Jammu and Kashmir in coalition with the National Conference party.
