SRINAGAR: When Rahul Gandhi took to the podium at Congress headquarters in Kashmir on Thursday, he remarked that the Shamyana and the Dais should not have been erected.
“I don’t know why they did this… I want to be closer to the people,” he told about four hundred party workers, including women.
Mr Gandhi talked about his party’s initiatives regarding employment and women empowerment. He also talked about distribution of party tickets ahead of the Parliamentary and Assembly elections.
He told the Congress ministers to pay heed to the issues of workers or else face problems while grabbing the party ticket. “They are your party…you should listen to them,” he said.
Nobody knows what the ministers grabbed out of this. But after seeing these dozens of men, taking turns, things ought to be crystal clear.
