SRINAGAR: About 50 per cent funds, allotted under district plan Kulgam of south Kashmir, has been expended till date, officials said.
They said against availability of Rs 40.48 crore in the district plan for current year, an expenditure of Rs 20.13 crore have been made till date which also includes 52 per cent expenditure under the capital component. Under the Roads and Buildings (R&B) sector an expenditure of Rs 1.55 crore has been made against the target of Rs 2.56 crore.
Similarly under Public Health Engineering (PHE) sector an expenditure of Rs 53 lakhs against an availability of Rs 65 lakhs while under the Health sector Rs 23 lakhs have been spent, out of availability of Rs 45 lakh during current fiscal.
Under MGNREGA Rs 17.66 crore have been expended against an availability of Rs 20 crores thereby generating 8 lakhs mandays besides 56706 job cards have been issued.
Under PMGSY an expenditure of Rs 100 crores has been made which covers 62 habitations of the district thereby benefiting 254159 souls.
They said 22 kilometers of roads have been macadamized under PMGSY till date in the district.
