SRINAGAR, June 21: Two out of three women who attempted suicide in various parts of Kashmir have died, Police said Thursday.
A 35-year-old lady (name withheld) of Uri in North Kashmir consumed some poisonous substance at Khahmoh in Sopore town and died at a hospital, they said.
Another lady (name withheld by police) consumed poison at her home in Umarabad area of Srinagar and died at the hospital.
At least four people have died in the past three days across kashmir by suicides.
on Tuesday, a mother committed suicide by consuming poison but only after feeding it to her 3-year-old daughter in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Meanwhile a 32-year-old woman of south kashmir’s Anantnag district is battling for survival at a hospital after she attempted suicide by consuming poison
“We have registered cases and are investigating into the incidents,” a police spokesperson said.
