JAMMU: In a joint search operation Police and Army last evening busted two hideouts of the militants and seized large quantity of arms, ammunition and explosive devices including UBGLs and hand grenades in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Based on specific information a search operation was launched by local police, Rashtriya Rifles (RR) in remote areas of Dhanandhar Thakrai and Channishri forests in Kishtwar district and busted two hideouts of militants,” officials sources said.
Recovery was a kin to a big haul of war like store including one Pika gun with 50 rounds, one AK-47 rifle with two magazines and 212 rounds, 27 hand grenades, 15 UBGL rounds, three live RPG shells, one box with two Pika belts, an IED circuit and one Hizbul Mujahideen letter pad with a Motorola radio set.
