Kashmir Checking Squads to Ensure Cent Percent Attendance

SRINAGAR: Concerned over the allegations that government employees remain absent from their duties, the authorities have constituted checking squads to ensure cent percent attendance in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.

During the past few days, scores of employees were suspended or charge sheeted for remaining absent from their duties in the district.

District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Farooq Ahmad Lone said that checking of government offices has been intensified to ensure punctuality of employees at any cost.

Scores of employees of Social Welfare, Education and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Corporation were found absent from their duty yesterday.

The absentees were charge sheeted, he said adding that recently a number of employees, including in education department, were suspended for unauthorised absence from duty.

Checking squads constituted headed by District Officers will check the attendance of employees on daily basis and will furnish detailed report.

The checking squads for Anantnag, Bijbehara, Dooru, Pahalgam and Kokernag will be led by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Anantnag, Deputy Director CA&PD, Chief Executive Officer Verinag Development Authority, Chief Executive Officer Pahalgam Development Authority and Chief Executive Officer Kokernag Development Authority respectively.
