SRINAGAR: A Junior Commissioner Officer (JCO) of Rashtriya Rifles – the Indian army’s counter-Insurgency unit – has allegedly been shot dead by his subordinate in south Kashmir.
Rajinder Singh, a resident of Uttarakhand state, had had an altercation with soldier Satish Kumar over some issue at their camp in Kokernag town of Anantnagh district.
Mr Kumar was in a guard post when he fired at his officer, Mr Singh.
The JCO was taken to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
