SRINAGAR: With the death of one more girl allegedly due to food poisoning in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, the toll has risen to two.
Six members also fell ill and are admitted in a hospital here.
The issue was also raised in the Legislative Assembly by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member Nizamuddin Bhat shortly before the House met on the last day of the session.
Eight members of a family fell ill allegedly due to food poisoning at village Mangnipora, Bandipora in north Kashmir on the night of October 7 after consuming dinner.
They were immediately rushed to local hospital where one of the daughters of the house owner Ghulam Mohammad Lone, was declared brought dead. Other injured were referred to SMHS hospital where one more daughter of Lone Gulshan had died this morning.
Mr Bhat raising the issue in the House demanded a statement from the government. He alleged conspiracy in the incident.
